Home to some of the UK's first wind farms, Cornwall has always been a renewable energy pioneer, making St Austell an ideal base for Scott Wilson Oceans. Originally established in 1987, it now provides general engineering consultancy as well as project and construction management for clients worldwide.

The company, which employs 18 mostly local people, is one of the country's biggest renewable energy consultancies and has worked on wind farms with just a single turbine through to those in California that have almost five or six thousand.

Clients include Powergen, Scottish Power and all the UK's big power companies, as well as National Wind Power, GE Wind Energy and renewable energy developers around the world.
