"Cornish clotted cream is like champagne. You simply can't make it anywhere else."
Catherine Mead, Commercial Director

The Rodda family began making clotted cream in the late nineteenth century, on the range in their farmhouse kitchen. After developing a sterilisation process that allowed the cream to be preserved for longer periods - and thus transported over longer distances - Rodda's began the expansion process that has turned it into the largest independent creamery in Cornwall.

The company is still based at its original location in Scorrier, but now the old granite-built farmhouse overlooks an extensive automated production facility that produces ten tonnes of clotted cream a day. Rodda's has also recently introduced an organic line and successfully extended its brand to cover butter, liquid cream and crème fraîche.

These are now sold at supermarkets throughout the UK and exported to countries all over the world, and they're all still made with only the finest milk from cows pastured on local farms - over 7000 of them in peak season - and the 'Cornish gold' still tastes just as outrageously good as ever.
