Overview
Brought up and educated in Cornwall, Allen Greenall followed the well-worn path to Bristol via London, working his way up from Studio Manager to Creative Director of an established Bristol Design Group. In 1985 he set up as a freelance designer in the basement of his house and a few years later moved into a converted barn in Somerset where he grew the business to a team of eight.

AG Design is a consultancy providing brochure design, packaging, concept and branding, web design, corporate identity, sales literature and marketing.

The company has worked with a significant number of a high profile clients including the NHS, Flymo, NatWest, Homebase, British Aerospace, Tube Investments Group, Tower Housewares and John Lewis Partnership. They also provide Marketing and PR support for clients in the HealthCare Industry, a US Record Label and Music Industry based companies.

Cornwall was never far from their thoughts as a possible business location. Both Allen and his wife and partner Maggie had always planned to return to Cornwall - the question was always 'when?'.

"Now having the opportunity both to live and work in such an amazingly creative environment is just perfect" says Maggie.

Allen commented "Cornwall has changed significantly in the past 20 years. We have noticed how the business community has developed and have been waiting for an opportunity to participate. As well as servicing our many loyal clients, we feel that now is an exciting time to join the thriving creative community here in Cornwall. Our client base has always been nationwide and with technology being more accessible now, working from any location has never been easier."

Employment
AG Design has ambitious plans for growth and are keen to work with some of the dynamic local talent.

Maggie explains "Our initial plan is to take on two more designers and one more support staff in 2008. We believe there is a great demand for good design work whether UK, Europe or Internationally based and expanding our business will ensure we are well placed to respond to it. Knowing what Cornwall has to offer, we are confident we can build a successful team and look forward to the challenge."

AG Design has been supported by Cornwall Pure Business which has provided advice on business networks, premises and recruitment. The company is also hoping to work with Unlocking Cornish Potential for its recruitment.

Clients
AG Design provide design solutions across the full marketing spectrum for a wide range of clients from multi-nationals to entrepreneurial start ups. The company has formed successful partnerships with all their clients and have close links with many related businesses, enabling them to provide a comprehensive package of services and skills.
