I'd Rather Be In Cornwall Club: January 2007 Event

Cornwall Pure Business hosted its seventh I'd Rather Be In Cornwall Club event for those companies who are interested in finding out more about doing business in Cornwall. Hosted at the Groucho Club in London, Cornish business support networks, agencies and businesses were on hand to answer questions and provide information on what support is available.
Sir John Banham, current Chairman of Johnson Matthey and ex-Director General of CBI, spoke at the event about the opportunities that exist in the county. Sir John, who divides his time between Cornwall and London, is committed to the county. He currently mentors Cornish businesses and is a great advocate of what Cornwall has to offer whether it is quality of life, better environment for family or the desire to become part of a strong and close business community. After Sir John spoke he spent time talking with attendees about their plans and providing his insights on the economy.
